Trick or Treat

I know that Halloween is months away, however, I am an artist on "SpookyTimeJingles.com" and we do Halloween all year long!!! So if you are a blogger and would like to receive a "treat" from me (Marie Patterson), then read on!!!

A new artist to discover

The world of Art Dolls is huge and full of extremely talented artists. I had the opportunity to discover this talented artist, Denise of Dlynne Art Dolls, and her dolls and I'm honored to have her as part of my art group. I don't often stand upon the soapbox, however, this artist deserves recognization.

Today, I purchased one of her "Spirit Dolls", which are new to her Etsy Shop.

My Spirit Doll is called "Raven Dream Spirit Woman". With each spirit doll, Denise includes a tag with the name and also there is a small story with each doll.
Each doll is so creative, from the detail of the sculpted face to the hand dyed cloth used to make the clothing.





I hope that you'll take a moment and go to Denise's Etsy Shop and/or her blog and make a discovery of your own.

On this day.....

On this day, back in 1981, my first daughter was born!!!! Happy Birthday my dear Laura!!!!

This is one of your first pictures of you and me....you were 5 weeks old!!! In your baby book I wrote, "she has slept thru the night until 5:30 a.m."!!! And is able to hold her head up without the "wobbles"!!!



The years have flown by in what seems like a blink of an eye and here you are now with your little black kitten baby, Mur-Mur!!

WIP - of a different kind

YES, I'm still here!!! I've just been busy in the studio.....

Wearing my dust mask..... (very fashionable...LOL!)



and doing LOTS of sanding on my "reclaimed desk"....




And putting together storage cabinets...



My new studio space is almost complete....that is with the exception of trying to organize over 20 years of collected supplies, artwork and other "had to have" treasures in this space. Pictures will be coming!

Also, I've worked on my new banners for my SpookyTimeJingles.com pages....these will be ready for the May update!
