That's where my husband, Jim and I visited last week! The island is a beautiful spot to take a picnic lunch, sit under a tree and relax. This is also where a herd of wild ponies live and roam free. On the day we visited, they were a little hard to find! It seemed like they were hiding from us all day. We saw lots of evidence that they had been there (if you know what I mean), but I was beginning to think that we'd never have a sighting. We hiked from end to end on that island and it wasn't until we were headed out of the park when the first pony was in sight just a short distance down the road!!!! Finally, I got my pictures! I've n ow set up an account at Flicker and you can go there to see my pictures....just click on the link at the side......

This week my husband and I took advantage of the bus trip to the MOMA offered thru our local community college. The price can't be beat, not only do you not have to do the driving and finding a place to park the car, you get the group discount on the museum ticket! When we finished the MOMA we also went to the Folk Art museum, however, they were in the midst of adding new istallations, so all but 2 floors were closed, so there was no admission....(FREE is good!!) Sorry to say the pictures that I took in the Folk Art museum are not the best and after shooting several I was told that there was no photography allowed! The best way to share some of the many pictures is with a slideshow, so when you have the time, sit back, relax and enjoy the show! If you want to view full screen, just click on the view all images button and it will take you to slide.com. One last note...I did see the Naked Cowboy in Times Square, however, I couldn't get a picture as I was on the bus and couldn't get to the window in time....perhaps on the next trip!!

Hello fellow bloggers! Lately I've been lacking inspiration, however I'm going to NYC this week to visit the MOMA and the Folk Art museums-----so hopefully I will come back filled with ideas! Haven't been to the MOMA since it was temporally in Queens, and that was a trip travelling out to Queens!----and I've never been to the Folk Art musuem so I'm very excited. I'll share my pictures of the the Big Apple when I return. Have a great day!!!

I'm previewing these flowers which I made, prior to listing them in my etsy shop. In the past they've done very well for me and these are some new colors which I'm trying. This year I decided to dye my fabrics and I've been very happy with all the color variations.
Some of the ways to use them are of course as a bouquet in a vase, napkin rings ( you just twist the stems into a circle), they make a nice presentation on a package......I packaged a painting for a customer, pictured below.
Of course with Mother's Day just around the corner, maybe lots of Mom's will be receiving my flowers. I'll be listing them soon!
